Hooks of the Day - Dillinger Escape Plan "Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants" and "Wish"
On Sunday, Dillinger Escape Plan played what appears to have been scorching set in some dude's basement in New Jersey. Here's the encore..."Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants" and a cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Wish"
Wish I coulda been there. Looks nuts.

Hook of the Day - Mother's Finest "Fire"
by Myche
I was reading a book the other day on Parliament/Funkadelic. The book was an oral history - comprised only of quotes from various band members and managers, etc. Anyway, about three members of the band admitted that a band called "Mother's Finest" blew them off the stage one night. This piqued my interest. After a little research, it was evident that they were a band that never hit it really big, but had a reputation of stealing the show from headlining acts.
Here's a taste of their jam...
