Hook of the Day - Y&T "This Time"

Thanks for endulging me on the last three Hooks. To round out the all-Y&T weekend, we're going to brings things down a bit. Here's the monster ballad "This Time". This song should have been a huge hit for them. We've never seen them do this live, but here's a clip of them doing it in March, 2007 at the CD release party in San Francisco of the remastered In Rock We Trust. They did the whole album in its entirety, and I would have been there if I didn't have a wedding to attend. Where were my priorities?

There's a lot of chatter - but it is a nice rendition, and I'm glad someone caught it. Anyway, "This Time"...

First, here's a close-up of some guy's fretwork playing along to "Lucy". Works for me...



Next, a video someone made of footage from the Donkey Kong Country video game, with Y&T's "Contagious" as a soundtrack. Not sure why this game to this song, but he must love both an awful lot! As ridiculous as it is, I've watched it three times so far...

Hook of the Day - Y&T "Open Fire"

I'll be damned if we haven't had a Y&T Hook of the Day thus far! Well, we're going to rectify that. How about an all-Y&T weekend!

I can't think of a better way to kick things off than with "From The Moon" into "Open Fire" circa 1987.
