It is with much wailing and gnashing of teeth that I report that your friends at Hooks So Big will not be attending the Sly & the Family Stone concert here in Chicago on Saturday evening. This show has been cancelled.
So, in response to the many questions on the theme of "Will Sly even show up?"......no, no he will not.

Pitchfork reports that Sly & The Family Stone are going to do a very short tour, beginning in late April.

Yes, I DID pee my pants when I found out about this.

04-25 Anaheim, CA - House of Blues
04-26 Los Angeles, CA - House of Blues Sunset Strip
05-02 Minneapolis, MN - First Avenue
05-03 Chicago, IL - Vic Theatre
Yes, at the 2:14 mark in this clip of S&TFS playing "Stand" you should get your ass up and dance.
